Construction electricians plan, assemble, install, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and related equipment in buildings and other structures.

Exam format

  • 100 multiple-choice questions
  • 4-hour time limit
  • 70% required to pass
  • Open-book (CEC, WHMIS permitted)
  • Open-book — Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) reference permitted
  • Questions align with the Red Seal Occupational Standard (RSOS) for Construction Electrician
